Every mom now days wants to blog.  Not every mom knows how to do that.  So I’ve decided to teach moms how to blog.  My goal is to teach my mom how to do this with out me getting frustrated.  If I can teach my mom how to blog then I can teach anyone how to blog.

So if you are an advanced blogger and just want some tips watch for or look for our blogging tips.  If you are just getting started Follow along with me step by step.  If you have tried completed some of the steps that I teach in this post, but you are having difficulty with some step you may want to review this information and see if you can figure out what you are doing wrong.  You can also post a question in the comments section and I will respond to your question ASAP.

Let’s get started!

Step 1:  Setting up Gmail.

If you already have a Gmail account then please skip to Step 2.  If you don’t have a Gmail account then watch the Video below.

Step 2: Setting up a Blog

It is super simple to set up a blog on blogger.com.  If you already have  a blog set up at Blogger.com then you can skip ahead to Step 3.  If you don’t have a blog then watch this next video we will Teach Mom How to set up a blog on blogger.com. I suggest you have two windows or tabs open on your internet browser.  That way you can follow along and set you blog up as we go.

Step 3: Posting on Your Blog: The Basics

This video will teach you step by step how to make your first post on your blogger blog.

Step 4: Posting Pictures, Videos and Beyond

Next thing you will want to do is spice up your blog posts by posting pictures and videos You will also want to modify your text from time to time to make your blog posts look sharper. Watch this next video for a step by step video on how to post pictures, videos and more to your blog on blogger.com.

Step 5: Customizing Your Blog.

The next thing you want to do to your blog now that you have learned how to post pictures and videos is to customize the look and feel of your blog so that your blog visitors get the type of experience that you want them to have.

This next video will go over the basic interface of your blogger blog and what options you have as far as customization goes.

Step 6: Blogging Safety

You want to understand some basics about the internet and blogging in order to keep your blog and your information safe. This video will explain those basics.

I thought that this was important for moms.  I think lots of stores have minor pricing errors.  If gone undetected they can really add up.  My mom has been telling me this for years.  For this reason I decided to feature this story.

So here’s what happened.

A woman sued Walmart for repeatedly commiting a $2 pricing error.  She won $100.

As many of you know Circuit City is having a going out of business blowout sale that seems to be going on FOREVER if you ask me.

I just read an article that I had to share.  I couldn’t beleive that this is happening in our stores.  I was actually thinking of going there today to find a deal on speakers.

So here’s what happened.  The article said that an ex-employee discovered that you should use caution when purchasing unmarked items.  He learned that they take the tags of some items so that when you ask what it costs they can pull it up at a HIGH PRICE and then knock of 30%-50%.  In most cases, when this happens, you end up paying regular price or greater.

That’s not cool.  You should read the rest of the article @ consumerist.com

This makes me wonder if other stores do this too when they have major blowout sales.  I’m going to take a closer look at prices next time I go to a clearance sale.
